The Last KC Forest

Help protect the Line Creek Forest, some of the last remaining original woodland forest within Kansas City in Platte County, from development. This is 800 acres of forest that surrounds the Line Creek Trail, and offers its citizens a quiet place to run, walk, bike and spend time.

Beginning in 2018, part of the forest will be eliminated for three schools, parking lots and sports fields, and Kansas City’s long-term plan is to replace the rest of the forest with a parkway, retail shops and more housing developments.

We are a group of concerned citizens who will be working with elected officials, property owners and the Missouri Department of Conservation to try and preserve the forest for future generations.
