LGBTQ Pride Month: From Stonewall to Today

In recognition of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month, and in the wake of Orlando, stories from two Americans:

Donald Gallagher, Radical Faerie & Cultural Icon who lives in Jersey City, NJ, describes violence he experienced as a Gay man. He also describes his first-hand memories of the Stonewall riots and police oppression that led up to it. The Stonewall Rebellion, which began June 28, 1969, was the tipping point for the American Gay Liberation Movement and point of reference for Gay Pride Month.

Juli Grey-Owens, Transgender community activist, tells her story of growing up transgender, her self-discovery, and how this played out in her two marriages.
