Live Jam Session with Drew Black & Dirty Electric!

This week’s Under the Radar is shaping up to be a memorable one, as members of Drew Black & Dirty Electric will be on hand to play some tracks in-studio from their upcoming CD (‘Dirty Kings & Queens’) release show at The Riot Room on Saturday, April 27th. More information about the show can be found at http://www.facebook.com/events/166620200158182 .

About the band:

Starting as a solo project with the early 2012 release Wanderlust, Drew Black (formerly of The Belated) soon enlisted frontmen from two other dynamic local bands (Terra Peal of The Quivers and Zach Hodson of Dolls on Fire) and multi-band drummer Michelle Bacon. The result is Drew Black and Dirty Electric, a dark, sensual glam sound backed by a rhythmic powerhouse. The music stimulates and drives with a Queens of the Stone Age-like intensity, tinged with a Bowie-esque sexuality from Black’s lyrical delivery, sparing guitar licks, a distorted atmospheric sound, and compelling rhythmic patterns.
