Marty Kraft is a member of the Kansas City Missouri Environment Commission, whose purpose is to give policy direction to the Mayor concerning issues of environmental planning, management, and compliance with regulations and programs.  He is a Gardener and Environmental Educator who has been honored by the Sierra Club for his lifetime achievement.  His involvement with the community gardens is known to many; Marty is the Johnny Appleseed of community gardens.
