“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
Festival Season is starting up in Cowtown with this week’s Merle Jam and Middle of the Map Fest. Tasty Brew Host Diana Linn will be sharing music from artists appearing at both festivals as well as songs representing the top musicmakers in the past week of Americana Music charts.
Merle Jam is a benefit for the MerleJam Transplant Fund helping heart transplant recipients in the Kansas City area with uncovered medical expenses. The event also helps increase awareness in the community about the success of organ donation and the need for more registered donors.
Ink Magazine’s Middle of the Map Fest annually curates and cultivates the unique arts and creative culture of the Midwest, bringing together a sense of community in local and national talent in an annual festival featuring music, forum and film. The Music Fest is curated by Nathan Reusch – The Record Machine and Chris Haghirian – Ink magazine.
