Michael Brown & Officer Wilson – Did The Grand Jury Get It Right?

The decision not to indict Officer Wilson by a Grand Jury in St Louis has caused some in the legal community to claim the process was not conducted improperly and bias toward Officer Wilson. Just the release of testimony is very unusual for any Grand Jury and the comments of the Prosecutor, Bob McCulloch when announcing the decision have supporters of the Brown family crying foul.

Host Keith Brown El talks with St Louis Attorney Gloria McCollum about the Grand Jury process and her assessment of the information and testimony released so far. Alvin Sykes will be in studio to give us his insight into the workings of Department of Justice and what can be done to encourage them to bring an indictment. Tiffany Wheeler will also be calling in to give us some basics of how to peacefully protest, how not to get arrested and what to do if you are arrested.

Calendar for the week of December 1st 2014

Every year around Human Rights Day on December 10, hundreds of thousands of people around the world send a message to someone they’ve never met. Letter writing has always been at the heart of Amnesty International’s work and 53 years of human rights activism shows us that words really do have the power to change lives.
Join us this year for our Write-4-Rights event on Wednesday December 10th at 7:00 pm at Saint Andrew Christian Church (13890 W 127th St, Olathe, KS 66062). Refreshments will be provided.
