Mile Mansur, Jackson County Prosecuters Office and Ed Linnebur, LISC, discuss KC NoViolence Alliance burn grant and “hot spot” policing.

The Kansas City No Violence Alliance (KC NoVA) is a collaboration among several organizations committed to reducing violent crime in the urban core. It is spearheaded by a Governing Board consisting of the following organizations:

Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office
US Attorney’s Office
City of Kansas City, Missouri
Kansas City Police Department (KCPD)
Missouri Board of Probation and Parole
University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC)
US Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF)
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

The local site for LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation), the nation’s largest community development organization, mobilizes corporate, government and philanthropic support to help neighbors build sustainable communities. They provide:
Financial assistance through loans, grants and equity investments
Local, statewide and national policy support
Technical and management assistance
