Missouri’s Parole Board Is Broken…But You Already Knew That

Attorney Mae Quinn has filed a number of law suits for prisoners in the Missouri Department of Corrections. She found an explosive issue with the Missouri Parole Board in the discovery for one of those Lawwsuits and brought it to the press’s attention earlier this year. It seems one of the parole board members and a DOC employee were playing word games during parole hearings that made a farce of the proceedings.

Host Latahra Smith of the KC Freedom Project will talk with Attorney Mae Quinn about what she uncovered and the difficulty many prisoners have before the parole board.

In the second half of our show Keith Brown El will join Latahra to talk about some of his recent experiences defending himself in Jackson County Court. We will also be taking calls with your questions and stories about the Parole Board. 816-931-5534

** Jaws of Justice Radio has offered the opportunity for parole officers to come on the broadcast to explain what they do and the importance of their job. While the officers have been willing, even eager to come on air their bosses at the DOC have repeatedly refused to allow them to do so.
