EcoRadio KC is a magazine show, including live segments, prerecorded stories, and interviews. The weekly explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life.
Eric Kirkendall, of the newly emerging MoKan Clear Air Coalition,which will focus on keeping the air you breathe healthy, is Richard Mabion’s guest.
The MoKan Clean Air Coalition will start out working in Wyandotte County, building on the work done by Leticia DeCaigney, the Diesel Health Project, and Argentine Citizens groups that discovered dangerous levels of air pollution near the Burlington Northern/ Santa Fe Argentine Rail yard.
Richard Mabion is working with Eric in the formation of this coalition, along with Chidren’s Mercy Hospital, the Sierra Club, and KU researchers and interns. Those interested in working with the group can call Eric at 785 550 3408.
