WINGS: Women's International News Gathering Service is an all-woman independent radio production company that produces and distributes news and current affairs programs by and about women around the world.
Remittances back home from primarily low-wage immigrants sustain families, communities, and countries. A talk by Maria Jimenez at the International Conference on the Gift Economy in 2004 is even more current in the anti-immigrant climate of today.
Jimenez is an immigration rights activist and policy analyst based in the U.S.
