Also, Martha Gershun’s essay “Channeling Marjorie,” written as a gift for her friend Rick Malsick and his son Joshua Malsick, was chosen as the winner of the 2018 Women’s Voices Essay Contest, sponsored by the Johnson County Library (KS) and The Writers Place. It’s about the ways knitting brings us closer to those we love. Martha will read this ripping yarn on our airwaves.
