Local Showcase
The Local ShowCase features live or recorded performances of music, poetry, prose, etc. of local and regional artists. This showcase is hosted by a variety of KKFI programmers covering a broad spectrum of musical genres.
On the Local Showcase for Thanksgiving we give thanks for the great music released in 2014 by local Kansas City bands such as Wells the Traveler, Sara Swenson, Jorge Arana Trio, Rooms Without Windows, Nicholas St. James, The Sexy Accident, Spencer Mackenzie Brown, The Big Iron, and Carswell & Hope, Winston Apple, Uncanny Valley, Invisible World, Morningglories, Outsides, Old Sound, and Sterling Witt , Margo May, The Perfect Pursuit, Ready Astronaut, Shy Boys, Phil Neal and the Wornalls, Scruffy & the Janitors, Claire & the Crowded Stage, Attic Light, Empty Moon, Jason Vivone & the Billy Bats, Attic Wolves, and more, time allowing.
