Musical Tribute to Two Recently Departed Brits

For the second week in a row, Mike Murphy pays tribute to a recently deceased music producer/engineer. This time it’s Andy Johns, who cut his teeth as Eddie Kramer’s tape operator on the Jimi Hendrix Experience classic, Axis: Bold as Love. He also worked on the Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main Street and most Led zeppelin albums.

As far as we know, Margaret Thatcher never worked on any music, but she inspired an awful lot of it. While most of the tunes are not suitable for airplay. There are some gems that are. We’ll hear from Hefner, Black 47, Elvis Costello and others.
