WINGS: Women's International News Gathering Service is an all-woman independent radio production company that produces and distributes news and current affairs programs by and about women around the world.
Nanoparticles are so small that they slip through normal regulatory loopholes; they are already in our food packaging, clothing, and cosmetics. Little is yet known about their effects, but they can behave in strange and likely dangerous ways. Ilise Feitshans calls for international harmonization of regulation and for the public to inform itself about what is in our midst.
Ilise Feitshans directs The Work, Health and Survival Project. She is a lawyer with a PhD in international relations. Her dissertation will be published as “Forecasting Nano Law: Global Health Impacts.”
