One Struggle KC – A Call In Show

One Struggle KC was formed in the wake of the killing of Michael Brown by Ferguson, MO police officer Darren Wilson by some of the young people who went to Ferguson to protest. While there they learned how peaceful protests were being conducted, what individuals needed to do to protect themselves during a protest and what organizers needed to do to get their message across. The initial efforts to spread this information and train people in our commun ity was done by young women, today we have two of those organizers in the house.

Host Rebecca Hamilton will be talking with Kristen Chow, co-founder of One Struggle KC and founding member Brittany Coleman about the devaluation of Black and Brown lives in our society and call for an END to ALL forms of state violence, including the Prison Industrial Complex and the School-to-Prison Pipeline. Find out why you should and how you can get involved.
