Ovalizing Power

In this keynote address to the US National Women’s Studies Association, Lani Guinier states that the ultimate goal of feminism is not to place a few women at the top of a patriarchal hierarchy, but to change the contexts of life so that people collaborate for mutual success without exclusion.

Guinier is an American civil rights theorist. She is the Bennett Boskey Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and the first woman of color appointed to a tenured professorship at that institution.
