Jaws of Justice Radio
It is the intention of Jaws of Justice Radio to investigate how to achieve justice in America, this includes issues of economic injustice, political injustice and the criminal justice system. We want to put a human face on those caught in the grasp of injustice and those that are part of an unjust system. We strive to dispel the misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system.

The institutionalism of profiteering off our children has created the School to Prison Pipeline and continues with a parole system that uses minor infractions to keep our prisons full and profits high. There are millions of stories of exploitation that are ignored or discounted because a conviction means you are a dishonest person and can never be believed. Call in with your story.
On today’s show Host Attorney David Bell talks with Andre Carson, a Client Advocate for KC NoVA, Former CEO and alumni with Reaching out From Within, a non-profit organization focused on mentoring felons and ex-felons re-entering into our society. He has worked and volunteered in Community Outreach for 19 years and is an ex-felon. They will be joined by Melissa Patterson Hazley, a doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology with over ten years experience working in Education with special interest in first generation and multicultural student issues. Melissa works as the Director of Outreach, Education and Engagement for the KC Chapter of the Urban League and is also part-time psychology faculty at a local community college.

Diamond Cuts is sponsoring a Back 2 School Bash, Sunday August 23rd, from 10 AM to 4 PM, at 3402 Troost, KCMO. Food and drink will be provided, as well as hair cuts and school supplies.
