Peabody Coal dumped union miners and retirees into subsidiary Patriot Coal which is now in bankruptcy and reneging on union contracts, pensions and healthcare for retired miners. Tune into this week’s Heartland Labor Forum to hear The Peabody/Patriot Shuffle. Then we’ll hear the rest of Bill Fletcher’s speech at the Kansas City Public Library.
