We air a broadcast from September of last year with host Keith Brown El, he is joined by Peter, Brianna and Karl as well as a striking prisoner of the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee of the IWW. They will be talking about the National Prisoner’s Strike that began on September 9th 2016.

Local Rally In Support of Millions For Prisoner’s Human Rights March

The Kansas City Chapter of Missourian’s For Alternatives to the Death Penalty will meet Tuesday, August 1st from 6:30 to 8pm at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, 4501 Walnut, KCMO. They will be discussing and planning action around the August 22nd execution date for Marcellus Williams. Williams has maintained his innocence and there are questions about his conviction that was obtained with out forensic evidence or eyewittnesses.

The Kansas City Chapter of Empower Missouri’s First Friday Forum will be Friday 1130 am to 1 pm at the Westport Flea Market, 817 Westport Rd, KCMO. There will be guests from Jobs With Justice and Stand Up KC to talk about the upcoming ballot initiative for a minimum wage increase.

The KC Area Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children and Other Survivors of Homicide will hold their monthly meeting Friday August 4th beginning at 7:30 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 2552 Gilliam Rd, KCMO. POMC meets to provide support and assistance through on going emotional support, education, prevention, advocacy and awareness to all survivors of homicide victims.
