Reproductive Justice, Part 1

In this interview, Loretta Ross begins with her personal story of needing reproductive justice, and goes on to tell stories of pioneering organizing for real reproductive choice and the sexist, racist and classist moves by US politicians to control the bodies of women and of all people of color. The interview took place in 2005, but all the struggles are ongoing in 2018.

Reproductive justice pioneer Loretta Ross was a founder and Executive Director of Sistersong, among other organizations. After years in the field, she teaches Women’s Studies. Her latest book (2017) is titled Reproductive Justice.
