Revitalizing Kansas City: One Neighborhood at a Time

RadioActive host Marvita Oliver interviews Associate Professor  Dr Jacob Wagner,  Executive Director-Center for Neighborhoods, UMKC.  Dr Wagner will discuss the importance of neighborhoods in Kansas City.  Neighborhoods throughout the Kansas City region are critical to the health of our metropolitan area and our economy. Neighborhood leaders and organizations provide an important group of engaged citizens seeking to improve the city. However, these organizations often lack capacity, technical and planning expertise, and the resources to implement local action plans. Through the Center for Neighborhoods, we seek to provide a catalyst for positive community change through capacity-building community economic development and neighborhood stabilization and development.
