Country and Roots Music is chock full of stories of those who have “done time” and lived to tell about it. But how many state prison wardens have you heard sing an original song? KKFI listeners will have their chance to do just that when Kansas City area singer/songwriter Rex Pryor joins Diana Linn live in the studio on this week’s Tasty Brew Music Radio Show. Rex recently retired as the Warden of the Kansas State Correctional Facility at Lansing, Kansas. Don’t you know he has some stories to tell?
Also featured on this week’s Tasty Brew Music Radio Show will be tunes from artists coming to Kansas City this week – real Country Music’s Jason Eady, Bluegrass gods Ickes & Hensley, Texas R & B standout Seth Walker and Grammy Award Winning Bettye Lavette. Kansas City’s own Sara Morgan will be showcasing new songs at a new installment of a live album recording show in Carl Butler’s Gospel Lounge at Knuckleheads this week.

It’s also Diana Linn’s Birthday week…and it’s a big ‘un. She shares the same birthday as Guy Clark and Doug Sahm, so you know they will be on the playlist too.
