Created by Kansas City music makers Kasey Rausch and Mikal Shapiro in 2014, River Trade Radio is a live radio program dedicated to the song trade as it connects to Kansas City featuring live touring and local guests in-studio with elements of Americana, Folk, Blues, Bluegrass, Roots, Country, Jazz and more.
We aim to share our love for Kansas City, songwriting, and musical collaboration by creating a fresh dialogue about our local Roots music community – from its connections with touring artists and international influences to its historical and contemporary contributions to the craft of the song.
