Feeling the heat in the lead up to the 4th week of the California Prisoners Hunger Strike, California Prison authorities in a LAT opinion piece claimed that the hunger strike is simply a ploy by prison gangs to retain power. Meanwhile the Supreme Court has yet again ordered Governor Brown to implement the order to release prisoners to ease overcrowding and inhumane conditions in the prisons.
