Former Attorney General Janet Reno passed away on November 7, 2016 at the age of 78. She was the first female to serve as Attorney General. We had the pleasure of interviewing Ms. Reno along with her nephew, Ed Pettersen, in 2008. We discussed the release of a project that the two produced entitled Song of America. The 3 CD set chronicles the history of our great nation in song. To honor Attorney General Janet Reno’s legacy, we’re proud to re-broadcast the Song of America program. As it turns out, the interview and music couldn’t be more timely as we reflect upon our recent presidential election. The songs illustrate the struggles and victories of our past, and offer a measure of hope as we look for ways to heal a deeply divided country.
