Booker T & the MG’s guitar ace, Steve Cropper, steps out with a brand new band to pay tribute to The Five Royales. Featuring Bettye Lavette, Ellis Hooks, and Dylan LeBlanc and some seasoned players, the band braves a rainy afternoon at the Damrosch Park Bandshell at Lincoln Center Out of Doors with their first live performance. The show must go on and for the faithful that braved the rain it was worth every minute.

Ace Memphis sax man, Jim Spake begins a new 10 part series on great saxophonists entitled Crazy ‘Bout a Saxophone.
