Take Two
The "Take Two" short segment reviews independently made films and art-house movies currently showing in Kansas City. Take Two first went on the air in 2012 and is co-hosted by Russ Simmons, producer of the “Freeze Frame” short segment, and Susan Sanders.
The segment airs at the following times:

Fridays 12:58 pm
Saturdays at 5:58 pm
Sundays 3:00 am
A Danish Oscar nominee is the focus of this week’s segment. Susan and Russ share their thoughts on this bleak post WWII drama based on actual events. The story is about German soldiers captured by the Danish military, forced to deactivate the thousands of mines that the Germans had placed along Danish beaches. This was, essentially, a suicide mission and the German soldiers were teenagers, most too young to shave. The film was directed by Martin Zandviet.
