Tasty Brew Music features Rhiannon Giddens

In celebration of Black History Month, Host Diana Linn features the music of Rhiannon Giddens, formerly of the award winning Roots Music group Carolina Chocolate Drops. She is now founding sister of Our Native Daughters, a group of black female musicians dedicated to reclaiming the art of African Music that morphed into mainstream American pop music.  Diana Linn has included Rhiannon’s music from the very beginning of The Tasty Brew, has caught multiple Giddens performances at The Ryman Auditorium and even had the good fortune to sit front and center at a songwriters’ round in RCA’S iconic Studio A on Nashville’s Music Row as Rhiannon was joined by Patty Griffin and Shakey Graves.  Great music!

This week’s Guest DJ is long time KKFI supporter and volunteer Danny Powell,  whose eclectic playlist includes everything from Lance Canales to Randy Newman.  A Tasty Brew coming your way….turn your radio on!
