“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
This week’s Tasty Brew Music Radio Show continues a recent theme of featuring beautiful vocal harmonies from the likes of First Aid Kit, The Isaacs, The Beach Boys, Milk Carton Kids, The Pale Moons, the Carper Family, The Secret Sisters and others. Joining Diana Linn live in the studio during the 7 am hour for a rare solo acoustic performance, Kansas City’s own Sean McDonnell (Stonecutters’ Union and Amanda Fish Circus).
Mike Paget of Green Guitar Folk House Concert Series will be stopping by to give the 411 on this month’s artist appearing on Saturday November 11, Gurf Morlix. Gurf, contemporary of the legendary Blaze Foley and former lead guitarist for Lucinda Williams has a unique song styling and voice of his own. He has produced albums for Americana stand outs Grant Peeples, Slaid Cleaves, Ray Bonneville, Robert Earl Keen, Mary Gauthier, Ray Wylie Hubbard and others.
