Tasty Brew Music Radio Show Sixth Anniversary Bash

After 312 shows, 624 on air hours and approximately 8,700 songs floating through the ether, Diana Linn celebrates six years broadcasting The Tasty Brew Music Radio Show on KKFI.

This Tuesday morning she welcomes in studio guest Brody Buster appearing at the upcoming Crossroads Music Festival on September 10. The Brody Buster Band is a Blues based Rock & Roll band out of Lawrence Kansas.  Brody Buster, a former child prodigy, who was featured on countless television shows including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, has shared the stage with Quincy Jones, Keb Mo, Chaka Kahn, Lee Oskar and was a regular performer at B.B. King’s Blues Club. Brody has performed with B.B. several times and King was once quoted as saying, “Despite his age Brody Buster is one of the greatest harmonica players of our time.” Brody Buster is all grown up with children of his own. He has formed a band and doing exactly what he knows how to do, play music. In 2011 he released “Will Die Young” to critical acclaim.  The Brody Buster Band will be closing out the Festival’s Mud Stomp Records Showcase at The Living Room (Downstairs) Missouri Bank Stage, 1818 McGee.

Also joining Diana Linn will be Mike Paget, Director of The Green Guitar Folk House Concert Series featuring nationally touring singer-songwriters. The music styles presented include folk, Americana, country, roots, bluegrass, and international roots music. Main stage performers are professional musicians who tour nationally and internationally. Opening acts are up and coming local and regional performers.  Coming to Green Guitar on September 10, The Strangebyrds. With rich harmonies, delightfully sweet guitar work, and a taste for history, Strangebyrds has produced a body of work that takes you across the journey of grief and the fragile beauty of living in the moment.  Opening for the Strangebyrds on September 10 will be Misti Bernard and The Blue Muse Project performing 13th century Spanish and Portuguese music as well as more contemporary Spanish-flavored jazz. With Misti Bernard on voice and guitar, Rachel Bowerman on voice and percussion, Robert Craig singing harmony and Gerald Trimble on viola de gamba, Blue Muse creates a seamless blend of times and traditions, of heart and art.

Featured music this week on The Tasty Brew Music Radio Show includes Radney Foster, Band of Heathens and Vince Gill… all appearing this week in Kansas City!!!
