(the) Medicine Theory!

THIS JUST IN: Tonight on Under The Radar, host John Todd welcomes (the) Medicine Theory into the studios for chat on the band’s latest news and music.

About the artists (from the group’s Facebook page):

(the) medicine theory was formed in 2007 to “write odd, dark, and really quiet songs about bunnies, expressionism and murder.” This has held true for the last 6 years, except for the quiet part. Often compared to Big Black or Shellac, this two piece of Jeff Irvine (guitars, samples, noises) and Tyson Schroeder (drums, vocals, samples) create songs and soundscapes pulled from a wide array of influences, such as The Swans, The Tiger Lillies, Pailhead, Sixteen Horsepower, and children’s lullaby’s. This scope of “what do you want to do today?” has allowed the band to create freely and at random. From the lo-fi/noise/scyzophrenic attack of 2008’s “…with dead certainty, even in the midst of chaos” to their most recent release “What The fuck you lookin at?” Which features constructed loops, samples, and a quiet tension of story telling.

(the) medicine theory is currently recording their next release “VERSIFICATOR” and beginning writing sessions for a fourth and equally divergent release.”
