Garbus and Zeiger talk about the importance of artists speaking out, and people coming to their defense when they are attacked. Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino courageously spoke out against police murder during Rise Up October. Since then, he’s come under attack by police organizations including in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Chicago.
Trisha and Rob tell the story of how their son was arrested for reckless endangerment ” a traffic violation ” and has spent 3 hellish years in Rikers Island- also known as Guantanamo on the Hudson ” meanwhile his parents have lost everything trying to fight for his freedom.
