Earlier this year, Pope Francis issued an encyclical entitled “On Care For Our Common Home” which contains a number if observations about the environmental health of our planet. It contains lots of factual information about how we humans have trashed the planet and urges us to make amends. But when it comes to the number of persons occupying the planet he says, “To blame population growth instead of extreme and selective consumerism on the part of some, is one way of refusing to face the issues.” So, basically, he does not think that the number of people on this earth is an important problem. Others differ, so in this episode of Radio Active Magazine, we will look at this issue.
