This week’s edition of WINGS follows the final installment of Carolyn Gage’s The Second Coming of Joan of Arc. Author interview follows the performance.
About the play:
In 1431, a 19-year-old French girl named Jeanne Rome was burned at the stake. Her story has frequently been re-told, but this version convincingly portrays her as a young butch lesbian who only when it’s too late understands the total ingratitude of the patriarchy.
