TIFF: Arrested Development and Honeywell Not Well

This week on the Heartland Labor Forum, we look at two successful grassroots citizen campaigns in Kansas City. First in the wake of BNIM’s withdrawal from the Crossroads project, we will take a look at the pros and cons of tax increment financing. It’s called TIFF: Arrested Development? Next, we look at how workers and local activists finally got public and government attention on the toxic health impact of Kansas City’s nuclear weapons plant. That part is called Honeywell-Not Well. Thursday at 6pm, rebroadcast Friday at 5am.
