The Tenth Voice (LGBTQIA)
The Tenth Voice is the Kansas City area's only weekly broadcast created by and for LGBTQIA+ people in our community in the Greater Kansas City area and around the world online. Listeners can tune in each Saturday at 1:00 PM. Each week our team of hosts and producers present interviews, information, music, news and features especially important to Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, Transgender & Nonbinary people, Queer, Intersex, Asexual & Aromantic people and Allied collective communities. Since 1989, The Tenth Voice radio show has documented and informed the LGBTQIA+ Kansas City Community.
This edition of “Trans Talk” on The Tenth Voice will feature spouses of trans people. We tend to talk a lot about trans women and trans men and their struggles and triumphs, but we don’t talk often enough about the loved ones in a trans person’s family and the challenges they face related to the transition. Sandra Meade will interview the married spouses of a trans woman and a trans man and explore their stories.
Our first interview guest will be Noreen Schwein. Noreen is the wife of a recently transitioned MTF spouse.
Next up will be an interview with Tara. Tara is the wife of a recently transitioned FTM spouse.
And as always, our show will begin with news brought to us by Sandra and end with the Tenth Voice Community Calendar curated by Brent Husher.
