It is the intention of Jaws of Justice Radio to investigate how to achieve justice in America, this includes issues of economic injustice, political injustice and the criminal justice system. We want to put a human face on those caught in the grasp of injustice and those that are part of an unjust system. We strive to dispel the misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system.

Byron Case Gets Mainstream Media Attention For His Claims Of Innocence
Byron Case and his girlfriend, Kelly Moffett, were just teenagers, when their close friends Anastasia WitbolsFeugen and Justin Bruton, died suddenly and brutally. The four were out as a when, as often happened, Anastasia and Justin got into a heated argument about their on-again, off-again romance. Early the next morning, Anastasia’s body was found in an area cemetery by a sheriff’s deputy, she had been killed by a powerful pointblank gunshot. Justin’s corpse was discovered two days later, behind an abandoned warehouse in a neighboring state. He had put a shotgun in his own mouth and pulled the trigger.
With no bullet, no weapon, no DNA or trace evidence, and, strangest of all, no established time of death, the case remained open. Byron and Kelly were among the last people to see Anastasia and Justin alive, and the voluntary statements they provided authorities were consistent with the facts. The case was officially regarded as an unsolved murder-suicide plot. When Byron ended his relationship with Kelly Moffett three years later, she made a bizarre accusation that end with Byron wrongfully convicted of first-degree murder in a Missouri courtroom.
Byron Case’s story has been told a number of times on KKFI, but now MTV is going to feature Byron as one of their cases on Unlocking The Truth, their series on the wrongfully convicted. In the second half of our broadcast host Latahra Smith of the KC Freedom Project will talk with Evelyn Case, Byron’s mother about the years of work she has put in helping Byron prove his innocence. She will also talk about working with the MTV producers and staff to bring his story to light on Unlocking The Truth.
