It is the intention of Jaws of Justice Radio to investigate how to achieve justice in America, this includes issues of economic injustice, political injustice and the criminal justice system. We want to put a human face on those caught in the grasp of injustice and those that are part of an unjust system. We strive to dispel the misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system.

The Criminal Justice Task Force will meet Monday February 6th from 6:45 to 8:45 pm at the Church of the Good Shepard, 4947 Chouteau Drive, KCMO. The Criminal Justice Task Force mission is to lobby the Missouri State Legislature for sentencing laws that are fair and basic human rights, including protection against cruel and unusual punishment of those that are incarcerated. The Kansas City Chapter of Missourian’s For Alternatives to the Death Penalty will meet Tuesday, February 7th from 6:30 to 8pm at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, 4501 Walnut, KCMO. They will be discussing tabling opportunities, the Lyric Opera production of Dead Man Walking in March and legislation in the Missouri Legislature.

Mothers of Incarcerated Sons and Daughters will have their monthly meeting Saturday, Febuary 11th from noon to 2pm at the Benjamin Banneker Charter Academy of Tech at 6401 Rockhill Rd, KCMO. Enter the Parking lot off Meyer Blvd (behind McDonald’s) and Call Kyra at 816-582-6511 for access. If you have a loved one that is incarcerated and need advice and support MISD has members that may be able to help.
