Sprouts
Sprouts Radio from the Grassroots is a 30-minute weekly program featuring radio programs produced at community radio stations or by other independent producers from across the country and sometimes around the world.
This week on Sprouts, we feature interviews conducted by Kaimana Barcarse of blog website Cultural Survival at the World Conference for Indigenous Women held in Lima, Peru in October 2013. Interviewees featured are Andrea Landry, Raffaella Bulyaar, Lisa Abregu Arroyo, Maylei Blackwell, Gudrun E E Lindi, Jocelyn Hung Chien, Nellis Kennedy Howard and Agnes Williams. Discussions range from maintaining relationships between youth and elders, addressing climate change and contamination and women’s rights and roles in their community and society.
