“Vote Yes: Prevent future K.C. financial incentives for advancing nuclear weapons parts plants”with Jane Stoever and Lu Mountanay

Jane Stoever and Lu Mountenay, Board members for PeaceWorks–K.C., will discuss the 2 April 2013 ballot measure in Kansas City, Mo., to prevent Kansas City from making future financial arrangements for producing non-nuclear (but sometimes radioactive) parts for nuclear weapons. Isn’t the Cold War over? Hasn’t our country committed to cut back on nukes? Haven’t many Kansas City workers lost health because of contaminants from making parts for nuclear weapons? Kansas City is making history with this ballot measure.
