Mark welcomes Marion Merritt, of Records With Merritt, who joins us as Guest Producer and Guest Co-Host, to share information from her musically-encyclopedic-brain. At 11:15 we’ll talk with Vi Tran and Mackenzie Goodwin about, THE BUTCHER’S SON – A Refugee Play & Performance Memoir by Vi Tran, and directed by Mackenzie Goodwin. Vi Tran uses drama, spoken word, slam poetry, and folk music to tell the harrowing autobiographical account of his family’s escape from Vietnam after the fall of Saigon, through Khmer Rouge-controlled Cambodia, the refugee camps of Thailand and The Philippines, to their eventual arrival and new life in America.
