Mark plays more New & MidCoastal Releases from: Mysterious Clouds, Witch Jail, Salty, La Guerre, Scruffy & the Janitors, Of Tree, Shapiro Brothers, The Project H, Hello Biplane, Digital Leather, Soccer Mommy, The Breeders, Tracey Thorn, k.d. lang, and They Might Be Giants.
At 11:00 Mark welcomes Guest Producer DJ Timmy, who won the Wednesday MidDay prize package at the Silent Auction for last November’s Apocalypse Meow 10, a fundraiser for Abby’s Fund of the Midwest Music Foundation. DJ Timmy grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Southwest High School. He hates winter so he moved to California, and then to Austin, Texas where had many opportunities to see and hear great music. DJ Timmy moved back to KC last year to be closer to family. His first concert was The Moody Blues with Trapeze at Municipal Auditorium. DJ Timmy has spent many hours behind the board at student radio station, KCOU, in Columbia, Missouri.
DJ Timmy envisions spinning lounge style tunes with Jaye P. Morgan, Esquivel, Perez Prado. Timmy will also share Texas oriented music featuring Cornell Hurd Band, Don Walser, Dale Watson, with Roger Miller thrown in for fun. Then Timmy wants to play new music by Spook School, Amy Rigby, Wussy, and Nic Armstrong.
