At 10:35 Amy Farrand joins us to share music from One, the new 11-song debut full length album from her band, Amy Farrand & The Like. The band includes: Amy Farrand on lead vocals & guitar, Steve Tubbert on bass, Felix Dukes on drums, Kyle Dahlquist on keyboards & backing vocals, Stephan Jean-Francois on trumpet, and Katie Gilchrist on backing vocals. One was recorded with Duane Trower at Weights and Measures Soundlab. Amy Farrand and The Like play a special Album Release Show at Davey’s Uptown Rambler’s Club, 3402 Main St., Saturday, April 28 at 9:00 pm, with Pamper The Madman with GAV7D.

At 11:00 Brenton Cook and Dedric Moore organizers of the Outer Reaches Music Festival join us to share information about, Outer Reaches Explores the World, on Friday, April 20, at recordBar, 1520 Grand Blvd, KCMO. Proceeds benefit the Midwest Music Foundation and funding is from the KC Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund. Special promotions provided by KKFI 90.1 FM. At 11:30 members of the Kansas City band Thee Devotion join us to share music from their new release Chapel. Formed on January 1, 2008, Thee Devotion call their music “chickenshack” and “garage soul.” The band includes: Davin Watne on guitar, keyboards, harmonica and vocal; Chris Teasely on keyboards, organ, harmonica, flute, trumpet, and vocals; Bruce Eddy on bass and vocals; and Keith Patterson on drums and vocals. Chapel is their second record and was produced by Bill Honan who also played piano and moog. Jesus Negron and Sean Branagan played percussion and David Williams played pedal steel on the record.
