At 10:30 Mark talks with Jessica Paige as part of our Crossroads Music Fest SPOT LIGHT series featuring artists participating in the 12th annual CMF on September 10. Jessica grew up on a Kansas Farm and at a very early age found her passion was music and songwriting. Last year Jessica released her self produced debut album, Sweet Nothings, including her single “Beautiful Life.” Jessica has appeared at the Middle of The Map Fest, Folk Alliance International, American Idol, and she will also be a part of BravoKC: Kauffman Center Turns Five, Live! , at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Friday, September 2 with KC Ballet, UMKC Conservatory of Music, KC Symphony Chamber Ensemble, Lyric Opera Young Artists, Calvin Arsenia, The Grisly Hand, Hembree, DJ Sheppa, and The Phantastics. Jorge Arana Trio will play their first album release concert at recordBar, 1520 Grand Blvd, KCMO, on Friday, September 2, at 9:00 PM, with rock group 34, and Haymaker Records label-mates Riala. On Friday, September 9, at 9:00 PM, the group plays Jackpot in Lawrence, KS with Boston group Bent Knee, and Lawrence doom funk group Hyperbor. The Jorge Arana Trio is Jorge Arana, Josh Enyart, and Jason Nash. They were formed in 2011. The vinyl is pressed in limited edition silver vinyl.
