Mark plays New & Local Releases from: Marva Whitney, Katy Guillen & The Girls, Ha Ha Tonka, The Silver Maggies, She’s A Keeper, Minden, La Guerre, Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, The Grisly Hand, Hidden Pictures, Helen Gillet, Maria The Mexican, Neko Case, Animal Collective, FIDLAR, and Braids, we’ll also play The Raconteurs, and DJ Shadow.

In the first of a series of shows about the music business in our area, we’ll feature individuals involved in how the music was produced and recorded and made available to listeners and fans.

At 10:30, Mark welcomes Judy Mills of Mills Record Company, a new independent record store that just recently opened at 314 Westport Road, in Kansas City. Judy Mills has been a waitress, a student, a teacher, a poet, a corporate road warrior and a corporate retail slave. Judy will share some of her favorite recordings.
