Mark welcomes Marion Merritt who joins us to share information from her musically-encyclopedic-brain. Marion plays tracks from: The Heavy, The Julie Ruin, White Fence, King Khan & The Shrines, The Shouting Matches, Volcano Choir, of Montreal, Mazzy Star, Willis Earl Beal, Roky Erickson, Okkervil River, Califone, Bird Nest Roys, and Express Rising. Marion will also feature: The Fabulous Rhythm Makers, and Marva Whitney from the new Numero Group release Eccentric Soul: The Forte Label. We’ll also play music from Jimi Hendrix who died 43 years ago, September 18, 1970.

At 11:15, Kansas City based, singer songwriter Damon Bailey will play live in our 90.1 FM Studios and premiere the final mix of a new song called “Black and Mild,” the first track from Quest United Heart’s self titled album to be released this fall.
