Mark plays more New & MidCoastal Releases from: Thee Devotion, The Philistines, Mysterious Clouds, OLIVIA FOX, Martian Martian Martian, Noah Davis, Margo May, Ten Thousand One, Billie Eilish, and Cavern of Anti-Matter.

At 10:30 members of the KC based band, Ten Thousand One, join us live in our 90.1 FM Studios. Ten Thousand One was formed in 2006 by best friends: Austin Williams on lead vocals, David Capell on bass, Dustin Reed on guitar, Steve Bell on guitar, and Brian Shackelton on drums. The band released their self-titled debut album on October 30, 2012. In 2015 Ten Thousand One won Song of the Year, from The Midwest Music Awards for “Control” the title track of their second album, released May 5, 2015. After being chosen to play RockFest in 2016, Ten Thousand One have recently been asked to play Rocklahoma 2018, May 25-27. Ten Thousand One also play The Rino 314 Armour Rd, Kansas City North, on April 7, at 7:00 pm with Famous For A Day, and Conman Economy.

At 11:00 Mark talks with Lauren Flynn, Aubrey Callahan and Tiffany Smith who make up the Kansas City band, OLIVIA FOX who released their self titled debut EP, on June 2, 2017. OLIVIA FOX followed that up with two new singles: “Slow Motion” released December 14, 2017, and “Utah” released February 16, 2018. OLIVIA FOX call their sound Folk/Pop and it’s a unique marriage between classic folk instrumentation, vocals, and harmonies to modern programmed beats and synth pads. At 11:30 artist Ryan Wilks joins us to share details about his new exhibit, Here Where You Wish, an immersive public installation at the Kansas City Public Library, 14 West 10th Street, Opening on First Friday, April 6, 2018. Wilks is constructing a large public altar in the Central Library with a transformative temple-like labyrinth entry-way being crafted by renowned artist Ari Fish. Tim J Harte is composing ritual based sounds/music for the event. The 40 square feet altar is being constructed by Sean Prudden and Ryan Wilks, to house the objects that people bring to the piece.
