We celebrate The Pride Season with our annual show, “That’s So Fabulous!” Mark spins music from: Liberace, Charles Nelson Reilly, Paul Lynde, Jim Nabors, Noel Coward, RuPaul, Grace Jones, Lucille Ball & Bea Arthur, Dos Fallopia, Judy Garland, Al Franken, Lily Tomlin, David Bowie, Anohni, Lou Reed, John Cale, Carmen Cusack, Cynthia Erivo, Dev, Beverly McClellan, Mountain Sprout, The Sleazebeats, The Kinsey Sicks, Mundo Nouvo, Stephonne, Vigil and Thieves, Radial Red, and the Broadway casts of “Hamilton,” “The Color Purple,” “Bright Star,” “A Chorus Line,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” plus the film soundtracks to “Bambi,” “Mame,” “Hedwig & The Angry Inch,” and “Sordid Lives.”

We’ll feature music from one of the most diverse awards shows of the year, The 70th Annual Tony Awards. “Hamilton” a musical about the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, with music, lyrics and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda is nominated for a record-setting 16 Tony Awards. We’ll also hear from Cynthia Erivo, nominated for the 2016 Tony Award, for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical, for “The Color Purple.” We’ll hear from Carmen Cusack, also nominated for the 2016 Tony Award, for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for “Bright Star.” The 70th Annual Tony Awards will be broadcast live from the Beacon Theatre in NYC, on Sunday, June 12, at 7:00 PM on CBS. At 11:15, Mark talks with Bill Svoboda, Festival Director for Kansas City Pride Fest, June 3, 4, & 5, at Berkley Riverfront Park, KCMO.
