Wednesday MidDay Medley’s Top Singles of 2016 + Michelle Bacon’s Favorite Releases of 2016
We’ll play MidCoastal Releases from: Heidi Lynne Gluck, Katy Guillen & the Girls, The Conquerors, Erik Voeks, Not A Planet, Rachel Mallin and the Wild Type, Erica Joy, The Great Vehicle, Violet and the Undercurrents, Shadow Rabbits, Hipshot Killer, Psychic Heat, Kristie Stremel, Emmaline Twist, The Buhs, Lauren Anderson, Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, Jake Wells, Doby Watson, Vacation House, Ruth Acuff, Lovergurl, and Instant Karma.
In our first hour we’ll play tracks from 13 of Wednesday MidDay Medley’s Favorite Singles of 2016. We’ve played from over 50 MidCoastal single releases in 2016. These songs represent the diverse talent present in our area music scene.
In our second hour, we welcome musician and writer, Michelle Bacon, Content Writer at 90.9 The Bridge, where she helps to shine a light on area musicians and events. Michelle joins us to play from her Top Ten Favorite Musical Recordings of 2016. Michelle Bacon works as a freelance writer and has written for The Kansas City Star, The Deli Magazine KC, and Folk Alliance International. Michelle is the Social Media Assistant for Midwest Music Foundation. Michelle plays bass in The Philistines, and she plays drums in Chris Meck and The Guilty Birds.
