Jaws of Justice Radio
It is the intention of Jaws of Justice Radio to investigate how to achieve justice in America, this includes issues of economic injustice, political injustice and the criminal justice system. We want to put a human face on those caught in the grasp of injustice and those that are part of an unjust system. We strive to dispel the misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system.
What Is A Grand Jury?
The joke among Defense Attorney’s is that a good (or a not so good) prosecutor could get a Grand Jury to indict a ham sandwich. They are referencing the fact that the process itself is inherently one sided. With the results of the Grand Jury investigation into the killing of Michael Brown by officer Darrin Wilson coming down any day now JoJR felt we needed to help our listeners better understand what a Grand Jury is and how it fits into the process.
Host Keith Brown El talks with Attorney David Bell about Grand Juries, who gets called, who gets to ask the questions, can you have an attorney present to advise you? What is the purpose of a Grand Jury and why the secrecy? David will help us understand what to expect and take your phone calls too.

Blue Hills Community Services is holding a Family Computer Day, Wednesday October 22, from 1-3pm at their offices, 5008 Prospect, KCMO. You are invited to learn or improve your computer skills such as email, safely surfing the web for information or entertainment and more. There will be refurbished desktop and laptop computers for sale to participants with a picture ID PLUS documentation of State or Federal assistance or unemployment. The Electrical Workers Minority Caucus of IBEW Local #124 and the KCMO Chapter of NAACP are sponsoring the 4th Annual Skilled Trades Forum for those looking to enter a career in the Building Construction Trades and more. The forum will be held Saturday, October 25th from 10am to 3pm at the SE Community Center, 4201 E. 63rd St., KCMO. Representatives of many construction union apprenticeship programs will be available with applications and information. Male and female high school Seniors, recent graduates and veterans are especially encouraged to participate.
